Chicken Noodle Soup

Ingredients

  • 1 cup chicken broth

  • 1/4 cup chopped onion

  • 1/4 cup chopped carrots

  • 1/4 cup chopped celery

  • 1 clove garlic, minced

  • 1/4 cup egg noodles

  • 1/2 cup cooked chicken, shredded or diced

  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Sauté vegetables: In a small pot, heat the chicken broth over medium heat. Add the onion, carrots, celery, and garlic. Cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

  • Add noodles: Stir in the egg noodles and cook according to the package instructions, or until al dente.

  • Combine chicken: Add the shredded or diced chicken to the pot and heat through.

  • Season: Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  • Tips: For a richer flavor, use homemade chicken broth or a high-quality store-bought variety.

  • If you don't have cooked chicken, you can substitute it with a chicken breast. Cook the chicken in the broth with the vegetables before adding the noodles.

  • Customize your soup by adding other vegetables, such as mushrooms or peas.
